Panjiri is offered as a parshad to Krishna on Janmashtami. It includes all the healthy ingredients readily available at home and its super delicious. When the goodness of whole wheat, ghee and dry fruits comes together, it creates magic. Lets check out the super easy recipe of Panjiri.
Ingredients-
1) 1 cup whole wheat flour
2) 1/2 cup powdered sugar
3) 3-4 tbsp ghee
4) Dry fruits of your choice like cashews, raisins, pista, almonds.
5) 2 tbsp desiccated coconut.
Recipe-
1) Dry roast wheat flour on a low flame till it turns slightly golden brown.
2) It spreads a lovely aroma once properly roasted. Keep stirring continously to avoid burning.
3) Once roasted add ghee and mix well again.
4) Finally add sugar and desiccated coconut. Switch off the flame. Mix well and add dry fruits.
Garnish and offer to Laddu Gopal :-)
