Kacchi dabeli is made out of mashed potato and buns (pav). I did not have dabeli masala so used simple spices to make this dish.
Ingredients-
1) 2 medium sized boiled potatoes- this will make 4 pieces of dabeli
2) 1 green chillies finely chopped, you can also substitute red chilli powder
3) Salt as per taste
4) 1 tsp chat masala and cumin powder each
5) 1 onion finely chopped
6) Pomegranate seeds- handful
7) Sev for garnishing
8) Oil for shallow frying
9) 4 buns or pav
Recipe-
1) Peel and mash potatoes and add salt, chat masala, chilli powder, cumin powder, mix well.
2) Take a small amount of this mixture and press it between your palms to form tikkis
3) Heat 2 tbsp oil on a non stick pan and shallow fry the tikkis from both sides.
4) Cut each pav vertically. You can also shallow fry it on ghee. Apply green chutney or red chutney as per your choice. I used green chutney. Place the tikki between pav, sprinkle some onion, masala peanuts and sev.
Again garnish with sev, onion and pomegranate seeds.
